The Newfoundland Historic Trust was formed in 1966 as a citizen's response to built heritage under threat. As a registered non-profit organization, the Trust has been advocating for the historic architecture of Newfoundland and Labrador ever since. The Trust also operate the Newman Wine Vaults Provincial Historic Site, located in downtown St. John's.
