The Heritage Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador has designated another group of buildings as Registered Heritage Structures. These include several religious structures, private residences, a museum, a commercial building and a bed and breakfast.  The buildings, situated in St. John's, Harbour Grace, Petite Forte, Port de Grave and Trinity were designated as heritage structures at a recent meeting of the Heritage Foundation's board of directors on Sept. 25, 1999.

In St. John's a grouping of important structures that form part of a Roman Catholic precinct have been designated, including Presentation Convent and adjoining school, Military Road; the Bishop's Palace and Library on Bonaventure Ave; Mount St. Francis, Merrymeeting Road; Belvedere Convent and Orphanage, Bonaventure Ave.  Built between 1824 and 1923, these buildings, along with several others in the area that were previously designated, form a significant religious heritage building district.
